At the heart of the project is a service innovation from a clinical-therapeutic and IT-digital perspective.
The digital platform is proposed as the integrating element of the clinical services and as the cloud repository of all the real-time data coming from the intelligent sensors and relating to the individual pilot products to be studied or from the digitalised diagnostic instruments already in use, whose integration (data fusion) is industrially permitted, in order to offer the clinician a synthesis of the active data on the patient and to assess in real time the effectiveness of the treatment.
The telemonitoring platform thus becomes the first value-added element for the management of innovative clinical services.
The platform, based on a typical innovative multi-tier service-oriented architecture (SOA) and event-driven architecture (EDA), is implemented using open source products and technologies.
- Web services will provide the following integrated functionalities:
- Authentication services;
- Encryption and security services;
- Event management;
- Messaging;
- Sending and receiving data;
- Reporting and dashboards.
The typical operation of SOA architectures means that it is possible to abstract from individual programming logics and also to be free from the programming languages used to create further services in the future or to connect new ones.
