The 3SM management and control platform will make it possible to alert the relevant authorities to environmental problems.

• Using a series of buoys placed in the sea and equipped with sensors that can detect the presence of pollutants, it will be possible to generate an alarm when they are detected;
• Using a mobile APP, visitors will be able to immediately report a problem such as the dumping of waste, the spillage of polluting liquids into the sea, the outbreak of a fire, etc., indicating the exact location;
• Thanks to a fleet of drones, it will be possible to patrol the waters off the Santa Marinella area in order to identify situations of interest, such as the sighting of specific marine fauna, the anomalous behaviour of boats in areas closed to navigation, etc;
• A series of PTZ cameras positioned at strategic points along the Santa Marinella coastline will allow 24-hour monitoring of what is happening in the stretch of water in front of the observation points. In addition, thanks to AI pattern recognition algorithms, it will be possible to interpret the images captured and alert the control and monitoring personnel in the event of situations of interest or that could damage the environment;
• Finally, a control room will be able to reproduce the environment to be monitored and controlled, with virtual set techniques capable of displaying the information gathered by the various sensors and devices distributed throughout the territory.

Once the reports have been received, again via the web portal, the operators will manage them and, once they have received the location and nature of the problem that has occurred, they will be able to plan a mission using one of the drones in the fleet to obtain detailed images and live streaming video.
